All about heating with wood: wood stoves, pellet stoves, wood heat policy, tax credits and incentives for wood heat, etc.

I think it is a reasonable consumer protection sort of idea. When I buy wood thinking it's seasoned, and it turns out to be green, I'm not getting my monies worth (green logs don't put out as much heat)and its pretty smokey. I would like to know my firewood seller had to sell me green wood.

Firewood buyers should be knowledgeable enough to buy their wood before it's needed and season it if necessary. Requiring firewood dealers to sell seasoned wood will limit supply and add to the cost.
