Wood fired baths are an ancient tradition, dating back at least to Roman times when baths - called hypocausts - were built by running hot flue gases under a stone tub. Those Roman tubs were also off the grid, as are these. Some are quirky, some romantic, some practical and some just downright hedonistic. Which is your favorite?

Hot tubs
A horrible thing to do to one's neighbors. When is this selfish madness for poisoning everyone else's air going to finally stop?! There are other ways to heat a hot tub or sauna that don't involve polluting the air everyone has to breathe.

Since you might not want to spend your money on a hot tub in the UK only to find out later that it will cost you a tidy sum.
