Here in canada the Blaze kings start at $3000 and the Newmac NS220E is not large enough. The bi-metal spring worked great on the older wood chief stoves. It was safe and dependable and should be available on more wood stoves. Now we are forced to babysit our stoves with a manual damper or spend thousands on a stove that does it for us.
